An ancient wise man named Agur asked: “Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know?”. Today, we know the answer to those questions. But sometimes when we’re in the middle of the questions, worries, and needs of our lives we may lose sight of the obvious. The details of life can so easily distract us from the One who answers the most important riddle: Who is One with God; more powerful than the devil; the poor can have Him; the rich need Him; and if you eat and drink from His table, you’ll never die? Jesus Christ, the Lord.
아굴이라는 옛 현자가 이렇게 물었습니다. “하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그의 이름이 무엇인지, 그의 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐”. 지금 우리는 그 질문의 답을 알고 있습니다. 그러나 우리가 살다가 의문과 걱정과 어려움에 휩싸일 때 명확한 식견을 잃어버릴 수도 있고, 삶의 지엽적인 일들이 다음과 같은 가장 중요한 수수께끼의 답이 되시는 분으로부터 우리를 쉽게 돌아서게 만들어버릴 수 있습니다. 하나님과 함께 계시고, 악마보다 더 권세가 있고, 가난한 자는 가질 수 있으며, 부한 자는 필요한 분. 그리고 그분의 상에서 먹고 마시면 우리가 결코 죽지 않게 되는 그분은 누구일까요? 바로 예수 그리스도, 주님이십니다.
